February 2006
Looking back on 2005
Last year was a booming year for real estate agents on Bonaire. The number of visitors to Bonaire has increased tremendously. It is noticeable all over the island, it has become busier, more restaurants and more sociable. There is been a direct influence on the real estate market; the demand to buy as well as to rent homes gone up.
Investing in real estate in Europe and in the U.S.A. has become very expensive and the price level only remains stable by the presently low mortgage interest rate. And that is very risky, not even talking about investing in shares. In view of inflation, interest and savings balance is almost to be called negative.
What is then the good option? Investing in a foreign country! Everyone knows that real estate is the least risk bearing on long term. It is a matter of stepping in at the right moment. The right time seems to be here now for Bonaire. Bonaire is stable; a quiet island, democratic, with a reliable legislation. That gives security to someone who invests in foreign country.
Our advice to the ones that are thinking about investing in real estate; the right moment has arrived. If you as owner are thinking of selling or buying, please contact us so we can explore all the possibilities.

<< NEW Eco-sport on Bonaire
The blokart Landsailing Experience!
Bonaire has a fun new attraction; blokart landsailing. Last month a new racetrack was opened on the main road to Rincon. It is probably is the most quiet race track in the world as the blokarts only have a wind engine.
The new sport, a real hype in Europe, New Zealand and the U.S.A., is easy to learn and very safe. It is suited for 8 to 80 year old sports and Landsailing Bonaire has duo-seat blokarts available to sail with younger children and disabled people.
The new entrepreneurs are Nelson Croft and Naomi Slotema, both professional landsailing instructors and wind sport enthusiasts. They will be very happy to teach you and your family all about this new sport and promised us that they will bring more spectacular wind sports to our beautiful island.
Visit their website (www.landsailingbonaire.com) or call Nelson at: (+599) 717 - 8122 or 786 - 8122
